Graduate School of Analytical Science and Technology (GRAST) was formed as a partnership between Chungnam National University and the Korea Basic Science Institute (KBSI), a government-sponsored research institute. The intent was to form a strong and mutually beneficial bond between research and education. GRAST has become a world-class graduate school that features a unique combination of science and technology disciplines, which includes biology, physics, chemistry, forensic science, materials engineering, chemical engineering, and electrical engineering. We have successfully broken down the barriers between these various departments in order to create an environment conducive to synergistic scientific discovery .

Trường Cao học Khoa học và Công nghệ Phân tích (GRAST) được thành lập như một sự hợp tác giữa Đại học Quốc gia Chungnam và Viện Khoa học Cơ bản Hàn Quốc (KBSI), một viện nghiên cứu được chính phủ tài trợ. Mục đích là để hình thành một mối quan hệ mạnh mẽ và cùng có lợi giữa nghiên cứu và giáo dục. GRAST đã trở thành một trường sau đại học đẳng cấp thế giới có sự kết hợp độc đáo giữa các ngành khoa học và công nghệ, bao gồm sinh học, vật lý, hóa học, khoa học pháp y, kỹ thuật vật liệu, kỹ thuật hóa học và kỹ thuật điện. Requirements
We welcome applications from candidates with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, biomedical and biological engineering and/or related majors with top marks and with a background and interest in molecular cell biology, neuroscience and signal processing. Candidates must prove a strong attitude towards biological scientist and the drive and capacity to tackle different aspects of a complex problem with large independence.
Student support
The selected candidate will receive full financial support during the academic year.
- Master program: Minimum 1,500,000 KRW/month (included income tax).
- Ph.D. program: Minimum 2,000,000 KRW/month (included income tax).
