MS and PhD student positions in Mechanical Engineering
Fluid Device Lab at Konkuk University in Korea has available positions for M.S. and Ph.D. students.
Our lab investigates fluidic transport processes at the micro- and nano-scales, under the background of mechanical/electrical engineering and the cooperation of other field researchers. These approaches are utilized to discover new functionalities and realize new tools for cost-effective, fast, highly-sensitive, or massively parallel biomedical/chemical/physical applications.

1. Project description
The project focuses on microfluidic devices for high throughput and high complexity analysis/production, new ways to enable sophisticated on-chip control with a minimal reliance on external controllers are necessary. The applications are clinical assays, biochemical testing, energy-harvesting, material synthesis, and soft-robot actuation.
2. Qualifications
The candidate should have a B.S or M.S degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or similar. We expect the successful candidate to be a motivated and diligent person who can independently pursue the given project and bring it to a successful end. He/she should have good communication skills (in English) and be able to work closely with other team members.
