The University of Baghdad is the largest university in Iraq, tenth largest in the Arab world, and the largest university in the Arab world outside Egypt. University of Baghdad provides a wide spectrum of postgraduate programs, as well as fully funded scholarships for international students from all around the world. Founded in 1957, University of Baghdad is one of the largest universities in the Middle East with more than 70,000 students of whom more than 12,000 students are postgraduates. With its 24 colleges and 4 postgraduate institutes, University of Baghdad offers more than 280 postgraduate programs in different fields and specialties.

Eligibility        

• Eligible Countries: Students from all countries are eligible to apply.
• Eligible Course or Subjects: Applicants can apply for a postgraduate taught Masters’s Degree (EG MSC, MBA) with the University of Exeter.
• Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must have an undergraduate degree from a recognized university.

How to Apply

• How to Apply: The applicants are required to fill out the application form for this funding programme.
• Supporting Documents: The students are required to present the following documents to the university:
• Academic certificates should certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the student’s country and the Iraqi embassy or Iraqi attach in that country
• Passport valid at least two years from submission date in the study
• Research plan (research proposal) for PhD applicants only.
• Recommendations of two professors in the field of specialization
• Identification Certificates
• No criminal record certificate issued by the country of origin
• For non-Iraqi applicants residing in Iraq who are not employees, please attach identification documents issued by the Iraqi government
• Admission Requirements: The applicants must have a PhD degree in a discipline in the College from an accredited institution, primarily in international law, conflict resolution, political economy, security studies and public policy majors.
• Language Requirement: The applicants must be native English speakers and possess excellent communication skills.
